Valentine's Day - No Run

The weather here has been cold and wet and today finally cleared up but it kills me that it is still so cold! We are in the south. The weather should be cold for 1 week out of the year and then bounce back to the 100's. That's the way I like it anyway.

At any rate, there was no run today. Jordan and I spent Valentine's day at the house and had food and wine. Very nice. The running shoes stayed underneath the bed and probably won't hit the pavement until tomorrow night after work.

For Motivation
"I always loved running...it was something you could do by yourself, and under your own power. You could go in any direction, fast or slow as you wanted, fighting the wind if you felt like it, seeking out new sights just on the strength of your feet and the courage of your lungs." - Jesse Owens

I can see from your blog that you are in the Houston area. I am as well, down on the south part in the Clear Lake area. Did you do Austin last weekend? I ran the full and my son ran the half. Once you are at the main web site, I'd appreciate it if you would link your blog to our Running Blog Database. Just click on "Blog Database" from the main menu. Thanks, and good luck in New Orleans this weekend.
