Run Summary
Distance: 8.5 Miles
Time: 1:07:36
Avg Pace/Mile: 7:50
Max Pace/Mile: 7:37
Okay so today's run was pretty awful. I mean, I enjoyed the suffering, but I had no idea I would be without water for the run and the heat finally caught up with me. Normally I get some gatorade at the turn around point but today there was no support on the trail and I ended up over 5 lbs. lighter when I got home. Not good.
I learned a little bit on this run. I need to take a little something with me when heading out into the heat. I started running around 8:00am, but that still might have been too late in the day here in Atlanta.
Overall, my legs and lungs felt good. My head was a bit cloudy from the sodium and glucose stores at zero. More suppliments could be in my future. My knee jerk reaction is to go by a box of GU and call it a day. Sounds like a plan.
"Jogging is very beneficial. It's good for your legs and your feet. It's also very good for the ground. It makes it feel needed."

Nice job pushing through to the end. Your pace is still pretty high even though you bonked! See you later.
