Run Summary
Distance: 8.12 Miles
Time: 1:00:29
Avg Pace/Mile: 7:25
Max Pace/Mile: 7:12
It was tough to get out on the road this morning. The bonking last week had me thinking that I could have another hard run ahead of me. Thankfully, the temperature was in the low 70s so the chances of a total melt down were minimized.
It felt good to get out in the morning with those familiar faces. Runners and walkers of all shapes, sizes, and abilities had set aside any anxiety about getting out on the trail and were now in motion. Moving forward.
The pace was right and my form was there. I could be racing next weekend. If not, I will be adding another mile to these Saturday runs. If I can keep this pace, I will be on target for Boston if I decide to take my training that direction. Otherwise, the 5k should be getting faster and faster.
Time to move forward.
"Jogging is very beneficial. It's good for your legs and your feet. It's also very good for the ground. It makes it feel needed."
