The past two months have been anything but productive concerning my training. Work, weather, and a general sense of procrastination have sidelined my desire to get back into a normal weekly routine of good foundation miles. It only took about 2 lbs of turkey and dressing on Thursday along with about 1 gallon of Gumbo on Friday to snap me back into reality.
Thankfully, due to Thanksgiving, I'm thinking a bit more clearly now and realize I need to turn off the TV, get off the couch, lace up my shoes, and head for the trail.
So, the new plan is to get back into running form before the new year to dedicate a full 12 months to running. The goal will be to make this running way of life stick, so I not only improve my race times but I also enjoy myself and maintain a lifestyle focused on health and activity... not just college football and beer.
